Bertrand Quéguiner, director of Horizon29 Course au large, has been involved in the world of sailing and sport for many years, and has decided to launch the construction of an IMOCA, a 60-foot monohull (18.28 m). It will be skippered by Élodie Bonafous from Brittany, with her sights set on the Vendée Globe 2028.
For this new sporting and planetary challenge, the entrepreneur and the yachtswoman have decided to collaborate with the MerConcept stable headed by François Gabart to build an IMOCA designed by Guillaume Verdier.
