Gitana 80 - Tut Gut Sailing has had a productive life in the IMOCA/Vendée Globe world. This design was built in 2007 in New Zealand to drawings by Bruce Farr for skipper Loick Peyron. The last word in IMOCA design at the time, the boat was performing in the Vendée Globe at the half-way stage (3rd) when unfortunately it lost its mast.

The boat has finished every Vendée Globe since, once in the hands of the Jean Le Cam (2012/2013), once in the hands of Fabrice Amadeo (2016/2017), once in the hands of Roman Attanasio (2020/2021) and is currently approaching Cape Horn in the hands of Swiss German skipper Oliver Heer.

Constantly upgraded over the years as equipment and technology have improved and evolved, the boat is again offered for sale following the conclusion of the 2024/2025 Vendée Globe. 

This boat is one of the faster daggerboard-equipped IMOCAs around and is a highly suitable boat for the skipper and team wishing to compete in the 2025 The Ocean Race Europe or preparing a run at the 2028 Vendée Globe selection process.

French flagged, based in Port La Foret this boat enjoyed an extensive refit and upgrade package in 2024, enhancing dramatically its value and modernity and relevance in the context of completing the 2024-2025 Vendée Globe and is a solid platform for preparing the 2028 event.
