This race, which will be contested by mixed crews, will start on June 23, 2025, in Boulogne-sur-Mer. The Course des Caps will be the first event after the Vendée Globe and will count towards the IMOCA Globe Series championship.

The Course des Caps, a new event in the IMOCA Globe Series, will take place for the first time in June 2025, with the start scheduled for June 23 in Boulogne-sur-Mer. This mixed-crew challenge will take participants on a 2,000-nautical-mile course around the British Isles, navigating through the North Sea, the Atlantic, and the English Channel.

The race will span five to six days, marked by the passage of seven strategic capes, each linked to an intermediate ranking and dedicated partners. Combining sporting performance and innovation, this event follows in the footsteps of the Vendée Globe, aiming to promote eco-responsible sailing while delivering a high-level maritime spectacle.
