Presentation

Created in 2000, the Grand Prix Guyader is a unique event organised every year in the fabulous Baie de Douarnenez. It gathers together sailors and athletes from all manner of backgrounds, for a week of races and on-the-water events combining a variety of craft from IMOCAs, to Multi 50 trimarans, to Class40s, Easy To Fly craft, Diam24s, kitesurfers, windsurfers and the unforgettable Dragons.

A social event, it’s all about having a bit of fun and racing in the sublime natural amphitheatre of Douarn' where the public relish the spectacle! Competing there for a number of years now, the IMOCAs are very familiar with the waters of the tip of Finistère. However, this year, they headed right out into the Atlantic Ocean since the Grand Prix Guyader linked straight onto the Bermudes 1000 Race, which started in Douarnenez to round off a week of festivities on the north-west tip of Brittany.
